About
Beth Tichenor
Licensed Mental Health Counselor, MA, LMHC, NCC
Hello,
I’m Beth (she/her), and I’m happy you’re here! :)
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to providing individual therapy for adults in a compassionate and supportive environment. I specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ community, individuals involved in sex work, and those navigating alternative sexuality and intimacy lifestyles. From personal experience, I know the importance of finding someone to talk to who “gets” you! I also have experience helping clients with anxiety, depression, gender dysphoria, self-esteem, personal growth, grief, and loss.
In addition to traditional talk therapy, I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based approach that helps clients process trauma, PTSD, phobias, and performance-related challenges.
I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and have been working in the counseling field since 2021. It has been quite a journey to get to this point, and I am grateful for every person and client I have come in contact with along the way. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Lic. #MH23856) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (Cert. #1723821).
My therapeutic approach is client-centered and integrative, meaning these sessions center around YOU, and I draw from many different therapeutic modalities, including Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Gestalt, Multicultural, Strength-Based, Cognitive-Behavioral, Feminist, and Compassion-Focused modalities. I also emphasize the mind-body connection and incorporate mindfulness techniques as needed. Every treatment plan is tailored to your unique goals and needs.
Above all, I am committed to meeting you where you are in your journey.
You are not alone, and I am here to support you.
